Also known as MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine), is a mixture of ecstasy hallucinogenic and stimulant properties. After consumption, an alteration in perception, emotions, and experiences occurs.  After 24 hours, fatigue, loss of memory and concentration, lack of sexual desire, and depression occurs.  It may cause anxiety, dizziness, nausea and vomiting.

Among the risks associated with ecstasy, are hyperthermia or abnormal temperature rise (aka "heat stroke"), cardiovascular, digestive and muscular disorders.   Anxiety, depressive, and psychotic psychiatric disorders may occur.
