Sex addiction is marked by pathological sexual behavior that dominates the most of an individual´s time, with serious consequences for the development and maintenance of their social, work and family life.

The person addicted to sex is characterized by maintaining excessive, uncontrolled promiscuous sexual activity. Often accompanied by the following characteristics:

• Inablility to control sex drive
• Behavior persists despite negative consequences
• Thoughts about sex almost constantly
• Impulse control problems and lack of concentration
• Hidden sexual conduct by deception and lies
• Frequent masturbation, encounters with strangers, cybersex, pornography, prostitution
• Isolation and economic problems
• Discomfort similar to withdrawal symptoms when not practicing sex
• Technologies (internet, mobile, games)

Addiction to new technology, also called cyber addiction is comprised of pathological behaviors related to:

• Internet
• Mobile phones
• Video Games and Consoles

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that one in four people suffer behavioral disorders addiction to these technologies, negatively affecting their daily lives. Taking preventive action is essential, but if you suspect that there might be an addiction, specialized professional help maybe necessary.

Some symptoms of cyber addiction are:

• Excessive dedication to mobile phone, internet, or video games
• Loss of study time, with poor academic performance
• Deterioration of interpersonal relations and other leisure activities
• Increased aggressive behavior
• Anxiety, irritability, and physical discomfort when unable to access the object of addiction
  Lying to justify actions.
